Papers are being  invited for the 2017 International Conference on Medical Textiles and the  International Forum on Biomedical Textile Materials to be held at Donghua  University in Songjiang University Town, Shanghai, China.

The guiding theme of  the conference will be:

Biomedical Textile &  Healthcare Products: their Impact on People's Quality of  Life

Areas to be highlighted  include:

A.  Novel materials and  biopolymers for biomedical applications

B.Surface modification  and biocompatibility

C.Medical textiles for  protection, comfort and healthcare

D.Tissue engineering  scaffolds

E.Design, structure and  performance of biotextile implants

F.Quality assurance and  regulatory affairs

G.Biotextiles and drug  delivery

H.Development ofin vitroand in vivo test  methods

I.Performance  evaluation using computer models

J.Infection control  with novel antimicrobial agents

Papers on other topics  in related subject areas are also welcome.

Submission of Abstracts  and Full Papers

A one-page abstract with a title,  the name and affiliation of each author and keywords should be submitted no  later thanFebruary 13,  2017.Submissions received after this date  will not be given primary consideration for inclusion in the program. Once your  abstract has been accepted, please submit the full paper before the deadline  ofMarch 20,  2017. All  accepted papers will be published in the Journal of Donghua University (English  Edition).The outstanding paperswill be recommended to  SCI cited Biomedical Engineering/Biomedizinische Technik (IF  1.650).Please prepare your abstract and full paper according to  the attached format and preferred template.

Program

The program will include five parts.  First, a number ofinternational keynote guest  lecturerswill  present their invited oral papers. Second, a number ofyoung  researcherswill be invited to give oral  presentations of their research work. Third, an important part of the program  will involveposter sessions, when authors will have the  opportunity to discuss their work with attendees as well as with a panel of  judges. Fourth,international  companieswill  be invited to present topics related to business, marketing, production and  regulatory affairs, as well as meet with graduate students to discuss  recruitment issues and career advancement. Fifth, as a new feature of MedTex  conferences, ascience photo art  contestwill be  held to display the artistic beauty of biomedical textiles being used in a  variety of anatomical locations and biological environments.

Schedule of  Events:
By February 27,  2017, the  first author and/or the corresponding author of each submitted abstract will be  advised whether or not their abstract has been accepted for either a poster or  an oral presentation.

Awards:
The Academic Committee will invite a  number of young researchers who are the authors of certain selected abstracts to  give oral presentations at the MedTex17 Conference. These presentations will be  recognized for special awards. At the close of the conference the Academic  Committee will also give out a series of awards for the most outstanding poster  presentations.

Language:  

The official language  of the conference is English. Please submit your abstract and information table  electronically by sending them as e-mail attachments in MS Word “doc” format to  the conference Organizing Committee at: medtex_ifbmtm@163.com  .
